Dots are fairly easy, but there is a trick to getting them to look smooth instead of looking like mini Hershey's Kisses. Start with the tip of the bag slightly above the surface of the paper (click here for printable practice sheet - 40kb .pdf). Give the bag a good squeeze (5 on the pressure scale), keeping the bag still and steady, until you have the size dot you desire. Stop squeezing, but instead of pulling straight up, make a little "C" motion as you lift the tip. This will help that extra frosting lay down flat instead of sticking straight up. Practice a line or two of dots till you get the hang of it.
